How does a local pickup work?
If your provider prescribes a medication, the prescription is sent to a pharmacy near you that you choose during the visit. You collect it there and pay the pharmacy for the medication itself; the price you see here covers the provider visit. We tell you which it is — shipped or picked up — before you pay anything.
Is this an emergency service?
No. If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, a severe allergic reaction, a high fever that won't come down or any symptom that frightens you, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Online urgent care is for the common, well-understood problems a provider can assess from your answers.
Will I definitely get antibiotics?
No. Many sore throats, sinus and chest infections are viral, and antibiotics do nothing for them except add side effects and resistance. Your provider prescribes what fits your symptoms, and will say so plainly if that is rest, fluids and time rather than a prescription — in which case the medication portion of your payment is refunded.
