Are these peptides FDA-approved?
No. They are compounded for you by a licensed pharmacy and are not FDA-approved for any use — the FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality. Each page also states whether the FDA currently lists that peptide among the substances that may be used in compounding, because that status differs from one peptide to the next and can change.
Why is a peptide I saw last month no longer listed?
Because its regulatory status changed, or because we chose not to list it while that status is under review. The FDA keeps a list of bulk substances that may be used in compounding and reviews it on an ongoing basis; where a peptide is not on that list, its page says so, and it may be withdrawn. We would rather delist something than describe it less than honestly.
How much evidence is there?
For most peptides, limited: small trials, animal studies and mechanism — not the large randomised trials behind approved medications. Each page describes the evidence at its real size and does not promise an outcome. Your provider will give you the same honest account.
Will I definitely be prescribed one?
No. A licensed provider reviews your health and your goals and prescribes only where a peptide is appropriate for you. If it isn't, we'll tell you why, and the medication portion of your payment is refunded.
